It is a fully plastic screw with a knurled head 12.5 mm in diameter and threaded to its narrow base. In addition, it is split at the head which gives it an asset for screwing and unscrewing.
The knurled screw provides better grip for advanced tightening. They are therefore perfect for fixing objects. You can find its bi-material equivalent in the subfamily slotted plastometallic knurled head screws.
The knurled screw can be screwed by hand, but also with a flat screwdriver.
They are often used in industry, precision mechanics and aeronautics for their good grip thanks to the knurled head.
